Experience Top-Notch Comfort with Our Expert Furnace Installation Services!

  • Size Matters: The size of your furnace should match your home’s heating needs. An oversized furnace can cause frequent cycling and energy waste, while an undersized one may struggle to keep your home warm.
  • Fuel Type: Furnaces can run on gas, oil, or electricity. Natural gas is often the most cost-effective and efficient, but the best choice depends on local availability and your home’s existing setup.
  • Efficiency Ratings: Look for a furnace with a high Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating. Higher efficiency means lower energy bills and better performance, though they may come with a higher upfront cost.
  • Zoning Options: If your home has varying heating needs across different areas, consider a furnace with zoning capabilities. This allows you to control the temperature in different zones independently, enhancing comfort and energy savings.
  • Maintenance Requirements: Some furnaces require more regular maintenance than others. Consider how much time and effort you’re willing to invest in upkeep when choosing your furnace.
  • Installation Costs: Beyond the price of the furnace itself, factor in installation costs. A professional installation ensures safety and efficiency but can vary in price based on the complexity of the job.
  • Warranty and Service: Check the warranty offered by the manufacturer and the availability of service. A good warranty and accessible service can save you money and hassle in the long run.

Top Benefits of Upgrading to a High-Efficiency Furnace

  • Lower Energy Bills: High-efficiency furnaces use less fuel to generate the same amount of heat, which translates to lower energy bills. Over time, the savings can be substantial, making this investment pay off quickly.
  • Enhanced Comfort: These furnaces maintain a more consistent temperature throughout your home. You’ll experience fewer cold spots and more even heating, ensuring your home stays cozy all winter.
  • Environmentally Friendly: High-efficiency furnaces produce fewer emissions, reducing your carbon footprint. By choosing a more efficient model, you’re contributing to a healthier planet.
  • Quiet Operation: Modern high-efficiency furnaces are designed to operate more quietly than older models. This means less noise disruption in your home, creating a more peaceful environment.
  • Increased Home Value: Installing a high-efficiency furnace can boost your home’s value. Prospective buyers often look for energy-efficient features, making your home more attractive on the market.
  • Longer Lifespan: High-efficiency furnaces typically have a longer lifespan due to their advanced technology and better components. This means fewer replacements and repairs, saving you money in the long run.
  • Improved Air Quality: These furnaces often come with advanced filtration systems that help remove dust, allergens, and other pollutants from the air. This results in better indoor air quality, promoting a healthier living environment.

Common Questions About Furnace Installation

Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is here to answer all your HVAC questions!

How do I know if I need a new furnace?

You may need a new furnace if your current system is past 15 years old, requires frequent repairs, has poor energy efficiency, or if it struggles to keep your home comfortable. An HVAC professional can help assess whether a replacement is the best option.

What factors should I consider when choosing a new furnace?

When choosing a new furnace, consider factors such as the size of your home, the type of fuel (gas, oil, electric), energy efficiency ratings (like AFUE), and your budget. It’s also important to choose a furnace that matches your home’s heating needs.

How long does furnace installation take?

Furnace installation typically takes one to two days. This timeframe includes removing the old unit (if applicable), installing the new furnace, and making any necessary adjustments or connections. It may take longer depending on how complex the installation is.

What should I expect during the furnace installation process?

During the installation process, technicians will arrive, remove the old furnace (if needed), install the new unit, and make all necessary connections. They will also test the system to ensure it operates correctly and provide instructions on how to use and maintain it.

Are there any special requirements for installing a new furnace?

The installation of a new furnace may require certain conditions, such as a suitable location with proper ventilation and access to fuel or power sources. The installation site should also meet local building codes and safety standards.

How much does furnace installation cost?

The cost may vary depending on the type and size of the furnace, the installation’s complexity, and your location. You can expect to pay between $2,500 and $6,000. Get quotes from several contractors to help you compare prices, then choose the most competitive offer.

Can I install a new furnace myself, or should I hire a professional?

While DIY installation is possible, it’s generally recommended to hire a professional for furnace installation. Proper installation is crucial for the furnace’s performance and safety. A professional will ensure that the system is installed correctly and in compliance with local codes.

How can I ensure my new furnace operates efficiently?

To ensure your new furnace operates efficiently, schedule regular maintenance, replace filters as needed, and ensure proper insulation and sealing in your home. Additionally, consider using a programmable thermostat to optimize heating and reduce energy costs.

Andrew was extremely thorough, took many pictures and videos and reviewed the checkup steps with me. Even though some additional work is needed it was nice to actually understand the reasons why and the proof to back up the work needed. He also shared some previous work that was completed by the vendor used before I switched to Horne that was done incorrectly and frankly I’m not surprised. That vendor was just terrible and so glad I switched. A few days later, parts received earlier that expected. Andrew returned today and all is good. It was really nice to have the same technician return to complete the repairs. Thank you.

We had a fantastic experience with Horne! We purchased a home knowing the furnace (from 1982!) would need to be replaced pretty immediately. Our initial consultation with Nick was incredibly helpful. As first time home buyers he was patient and explained every detail to us and even pointed out things that didn’t need to be replaced immediately so we definitely did not feel like we were being sold to or pushed. Our installers Alex and Nick arrived on time, had the furnace installed within half a day and were courteous and respectful of our space and super accommodating on limiting disruptions considering my husband works from home. Even the reception staff I spoke to were kind and helpful and were super responsive and easy to communicate with via text or phone. We will absolutely continue using Horne for our HVAC needs. As first time home buyers it can be overwhelming trying to know what is the right and wrong call for big purchases, and honestly what some of the maintenance needs even are, so we are thrilled with the experience we had and would absolutely recommend them to anyone!
